Who doesn’t love a little “extra”? Extra this, extra that, if you could have extra what would you like extra of? What if you could have a whole day? Today we all get that. Extra TIME; an entire day that is extra. Happy Leap Year 2016!
A gift from the universe that only comes once every four years. What to do with an extra day in late February? Use it to your advantage. Smile all day at what a delight it is to receive such a dear gift. Take a long lunch or play hooky altogether. Wear the nice outfit. Use the good dishes. Plan the dream vacation. Sing your favorite song loudly or dance around a bit. It is good to be alive!
Today I will be grateful for all that is possible. I will be in awe of all that surrounds me. The people I love. The trees and grass and flowers burgeoning with life. A day to appreciate the little things…the birds that are singing, the coffee that is hot, the dog that is at my feet. A warm day in winter that is extra…I greatly appreciated it and I kind of like that about myself.
“The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra.”
